PFCs
Perfluorochemicals (PFC): a family of chemicals used in non-stick pans, stain-resistant furniture and rugs, and waterproof clothing. Some brands such as Teflon, Stainmaster, Scotchgard and Gore-Tex are used in thousands products. EPA’s new findings show PFCs are “high risk to humans” and link exposure to testicular, breast, liver and prostate cancers, and hypothyroidism.
