1. The Plastic Albatross is a community-focused campaign that provides helpful information about toxins in PLASTICS and other household products, and how these substances affect our health and environment.

2. We encourage local families, businesses, and organizations to limit their exposure to and consumption of plastic and commonly used toxic chemicals to work toward a toxin-free future!

Guerrilla

Sometimes common sense efforts are repeatedly ignored or overlooked. Shortly, this section of Plastic Albatross will offer suggestions for “alternate” ways to communicate the importance of working toward a toxin-free, plastic-free future.

Some ideas for Guerrilla actions* are:

  • Toxic to Humans: a stickering campaign to remind your friends, local businesses, and their customers that the products they sell and purchase contain toxic ingredients.

  • Plastic Bag Hide ‘n Seek: a game played at your local grocery, which “hides” the rolls of plastic bags in the produce isle by covering them with a muslin bag. Ask the proprietor to provide plastic-free alternatives.
